Paris Fashion Week’s season has got started, and couture designer Tony Ward has unleashed his magnificent collection in the grounds of Salle Orbe New York, at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, an architectural landmark dedicated to contemporary art.
The show is an homage to a couturier, Elie Ward, Tony’s father who left us last Autumn. Using the imagery of a cluster of stars floating through space, the House is recognizing that this is the end of an era with its theme: “Stardust Voyage.”
The bridal gown emit femininity with its princess cut and a grand skirting, holding nuances of gold and silver embroidered stars on the majestic piece of art. The bridal masterpiece is definitely one of the most elaborately designed wedding gowns on the Haute Couture calendar.
As the show started, cameras were flickering in all directions, catching the starlight reflected in the dress, as Ward has incorporated sparkle with most of the pieces as a way to highlight earth’s beginning.
The designs were full-on Couture savior fair mirrored in vaporous iridescent fabrics, gazaar irisé, mousseline, organza pleated into sculptural clouds, celestial bustiers shaped of lurex thread 3D embroidered constellations, and obviously, infinite twinkles.
Celebrities, actresses, international press, Fashion gurus, stylists and influencers came from the four corners of the world to discover the looks. Heart Evangelista, Diala Makki, Paola Turani, Mareva Marciano, Sylvie Tellier, Araya Hargate, Stephen and Deborah Hung and many more were among the famous faces spotted at the front row.
