Historic Architecture, Vintage Feel & "I Do"
July 01 . 2020
Planning a wedding in the ruins of an abandoned silk factory was an uncanny idea until our eyes laid on this outstanding wedding!
A magical between at the ruins of this abandoned factory was not only an unconventional location, but rather an ideal blend of history & charm for the couple’s big day. Stylistic detailing and amazing decoration were added to the venue. It was important for the couple to keep and embrace the authenticity of the setting while slightly elevating the space by working around the ruins and focusing on the details.
Banana leaves were highly incorporated into the décor given that the factory is surrounded by fields of banana trees. For the aisle, vintage rugs were lined to make the guests feel cozier, welcomed and more at home. Dried florals screamed bohemian-chic and added a special natural and vintage feel. As for the centerpieces, the planner, A Whole Lotta Love, used textures and colors that blend in perfectly with the free-spirited surrounding.
